Transfer to Seward
Seward is a port city in southern Alaska which is flanked by rugged mountains to one side and sparkling Resurrection Bay on the other. After transferring to your hotel in Seward you have the day to yourself. You may discover Alaska’s dynamic marine life by paying a visit to the Alaska Sea Life Centre on your own.
Kenai Fjords National Park and Resurrection Bay cruise
Start your day by visiting Kenai Fjords National Park. Explore the protected waters and rugged coastline of Resurrection Bay in a cruise. As the vessel leaves the harbour, watch for otters, bald eagles, and harbour seals in the area. Once the cruise gets going, the captain will make frequent stops at seabird rookeries, sea lion colonies, whale sightings and more. Resurrection Bay is calmer than the open waters of the Gulf of Alaska, making this the perfect tour for those prone to seasickness. Once you’re done with the cruise get ready to board the 6PM train to Anchorage from Seward. Spend the night in Anchorage.
After breakfast if time permits venture out of the hotel and go for some shopping on your own. Make your way back to the hotel by afternoon and proceed to the airport for your flight back home.
